What to do when you don’t feel like doing anything
Life isn't always about moving forward.
Sometimes, I simply don’t have the energy to do anything. Realistically, an always-productive daily routine is impossible.
No schoolwork, no travel stories, no video editing—nothing can really energize me.
I don’t even have enough motivation to socialize, but I still need to show up at work and finish what needs to be done.
My body, simply, needs a break. It needs some kindness, the kind of kindness directed towards myself. There's nothing wrong with that. There's also no need to feel guilty.
Life isn't a race.
Life isn't a constant process of development.
These days, I just sit there, pat myself on the shoulder, telling myself, "You’ve worked too much. Great job. You can rest, and it’s completely okay not to do anything."
With the awareness that everything is temporary, this state of mind is temporary. There's no need to seek more stimulation from the outside world—no movies, no social media, no chatting, no talking.
Take it slow, step by step. I have worked so hard.
Just embrace the moment.
Being lazy can be a way of enjoying life.
